How to present a PDF without screen sharing

When the PDF is the center of the session, a live document presenter gives viewers a cleaner experience than watching a compressed screen share.

Step 1: Upload the PDF

Add the PDF to your Same Page library from a presenter app. Same Page prepares the document for live viewing.

Step 2: Start a session

Open the document and start a live presentation. Your page, zoom, scroll, and pan become the synchronized view for the audience.

Step 3: Share access

Send the link, show the QR code, or give out the session code. Viewers join from a browser or app.

Step 4: Present normally

Use your video call for voice if you need it. Same Page keeps the PDF readable and synchronized, and it also supports PowerPoint and Word documents.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do viewers join a Same Page session?

Viewers join with a link, QR code, or session code. They can open the session in a browser and do not need an account to follow along.

Do viewers need an account or app?

No. Viewers can join from the web without creating an account. Native apps are available for presenters and app-based viewing.

How is Same Page different from screen sharing?

Screen sharing sends a video of the presenter screen. Same Page renders the document natively for each viewer, then syncs the presenter page, zoom, and scroll in real time.

What file formats does Same Page support?

Same Page supports PDF, PowerPoint, and Word documents for live presentation sessions.

Can viewers zoom independently?

Yes. The presenter controls the shared document position, while viewers can pinch zoom independently when they need a closer look.
